Post-Appointment Care
Immediately following the procedure, you may experience minimal discomfort on the area. Symptoms will reside within 24-48 hours.
During the first week, the brow area will appear darker and more defined than the final result. Brows will lighten anywhere from 20-50%.
Minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin is completely normal in the first few weeks of the healing period. DO NOT itch or remove scabs - they will fall off on their own.
CARING FOR YOUR NEW TATTOO:
-
you must keep the eyebrows as clean and dry as possible for 7-10 days following your procedure. This means cleaning them gently with a mild cleanser and patting them dry. Note: do not allow water to soak on the eyebrows for more than 1 minute at a time.
-
ointment may be applied more than twice a day if brows are feeling particularly dry or itchy. DO NOT excessively apply moisture to the brow area as over-hydration of the skin may cause problems with pigment retention.
During the healing process, please avoid the following:
-
makeup on the tattooed area for two (2) weeks
-
heavy creams or any other moisture except the one provided
-
vaseline, neosporin or any other petroleum based products
-
activities that will cause sweating for 10 days
-
swimming pools, hot tubs, and other bodies of water for 10 days
-
exposure to the sun and tanning beds can cause fading and discolouration. once completely healed, always apply sunscreen (30+ spf) on the area
-
laser light therapies
-
exfoliation products and retinol/AHA's for 30 days after your appointment
-
massages, facials, or intensive facial treatments for 30 days
IMPORTANT NOTES:
-
Some clients may require a touch-up session 6-8 weeks following their initial appointment.
-
Eyebrow tattoos normally last 1 to 3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.
-
Touchups are recommended to maintain your results.
Results and longevity vary person to person. Each client's skin responds differently, both in the time it takes to heal and how many sessions are required to achieve desired results and colour retention. This information is to act as a guideline only.
